What is Portfolio, Programme and project management Offices (P3O)?
P3O is the guidance published by the Office of Government Commerce, a department in the UK Government, to help organizations implement Portfolio, Programme and project management Offices (P3O).
Purpose of P3O?
The purpose of P3O is to provide universally applicable guidance that will enable individuals and organizations to establish, develop and maintain appropriate business support structures.


Why P3O?
P3O claims that the right level of support enables businesses and organizations to both:-
– DO the right projects and programmes (Validation)
– DO the projects and programmes right (Verification)

 -Attendees must have successfully completed the 2-day P3O® Foundation course in order to take the Practitioner course.

P3O® Foundation and Practitioner Handout - Provided during the course, this handout includes the tasks used during the course, a copy of the slides used by the trainer, Key Learning Points, and the AXELOS sample foundation exam paper.

Exam Details?
-P3O® Foundation Certification Exam.
75 questions per paper with the Duration of 60 minutes
35 marks required (out of 70 available) to pass – 50%
It is the closed book Exam
-P3O® Practitioner Certification Exam.
80 questions per paper with the Duration of 150 minutes
40 marks or more required to pass
Out of 80 available - to pass 50%, no additional reading time
Open book exam (official P3O® manual only).
